Coping with Loneliness: A Journey

Updated: Nov 14, 2018

Working in a coffee shop

I’m embarking upon a journey with you. I am an author and blogger and therefore like many of you, as well as those of you who telecommute, work mostly from home or the occasional coffee shop or sushi restaurant. I am therefore, often lonely in my work. I am also, like many retirees or people on disability grieving a job that I used to love. My health is in many ways perfect although I cope with a long-term illness.

For now, I’m journaling my experiences of what it is like to write in solitude in a blog and how I use the tools I’ll be introducing to you. I’ll also introduce you to the research on appropriate topics as they’ve been helpful for me and I believe they may be helpful for you.

I will be putting my money where my mouth is and using my tools with me as a guinea pig which I’m hoping can make myself feel better and perhaps help others in the process.

You can expect blog posts on loneliness and the use of the tools I will be introducing in this context intermixed with my regular blog posts to this site on a regular basis and I hope that you will join the conversations. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
